There are those who lay the foundation....leaders....trend setters.....and of cos they would have their followers. But followers there are those who share the idea of the leader...their objectives, aims, vision and mission. And there are those who follow because of wanting a hitch hike on the fame that come with it. Some follow the crowd (majority) but have some sort of idea and there are those who are blind followers (majoirty). oh yah some are just those who try to fit into some group.
Now these followers also have followers. So if the 1st degree follower is a blind follower how would be the 2nd degree follower?? As time and generations of blind followers increase the reason and rationality, mission, vision etc etc are lost. What is left is just the superficial identity of that path they follow.
Example - those some people who are depressed go into that Gothic black way and they feel happy doing it (they think so ... this is the source) Those who follow blindly follow their doings like dressing like them, acting like them but then they are not depressed people. They would say that they are just expressing their freedom of wearing cloths. Then they defend not to judge the book by the cover. True but what impression are you giving to society of yourself. We are not living and cannot live an individualistic life - human are defined as communal beings and there are reasons to come up with such a definition so no matter what you do will give a reflection of yourself. Do you want people to think you are bad or good? 1st impression counts although u can say not to judge. There is no judging here. An impression is not a judgment but a mere inference or hypothesis on which further experiments are done only then one will judge but we should notlah judge. We should instead learn to except them for who they are and try to work with them and with God's grace they might follow ur good works if you r good. They might get influenced by your goodness.
Anyway when we want to follow somebody or something try to learn its foundation and not follow blindly. This is just one example there are many complex example that can be due to this blind following with the greatest being extremism and terrorism.

We R Famili!!
The catholic church is one big entity/organisation etc etc watever u wanna call it but the general idea is that is simply massive. Of cos not all of its followers will agree 100% to ALL the teachings about Christ which is passed onto us through them. Therefor definitely there wud arise disagreements and fights. But what do we do when we are faced in such a situation? Do we run and hide? play dumb? fight and destroy? fight and win? compromise? come to an understanding? What do we do? Break away and set up our own church?
Now since is may be quite hard to comprehend the whole church into our minds lets look deep into one of the church concept of family. In a family got father mother sister brother and so on... . Do we fight? yes we do. What happens after the fight? Do we run away from home? (some do but what happens to them later........?) Do we say sorry, follow, come into terms?
Ideally there is compromise - we come into terms, we look for ways to be able to understand each other and thus be able to work together in the end despite the dispute.
Same thing goes for the church. If the church does something we feel its wrong there is no harm to point in out, fight for what is right and go on but how long do we continue to fight? Instead of pushing and campaigning of ones thought of what and how sumthing should be done we need to instead come into an understanding. The intention should be there to safe the church from further divide and shame. We need to look into how we can work together. We cant continue fighting or break away for just a misunderstanding or disagreement. Perhaps when something does not go the right way in the beginging with u on it there is always the possibility for it to become better. But what happens when u who are a beacon of change break away. Would it not come worse? and if it does then u have a hand in making it become worse.
This is on our part - for the other party's part they should also listen, understand and make way for the new ideas and suggestions especially of those who are at the front lines.
So guys fight for away where we can work together. Give and take. Diplomacy, compromise, understand then we grow even if it is slow. Better than fighting and not growing at all.

FAITH EMPOWERMENT
Theme Proposal for Inter Campus Gathering 2011
“Faith Empowerment”
Introduction
I joined 2 ICGs before and the themes that were chosen were consistent with the times and I manage to decipher a flow in the ideas from the both, from Our faith our freedom to Our religion the in thing. We have first learnt of choice and freewill to worship any faith and God (Christianity for us) and to defend that choice we have made. Then we have been enlightened to know that following religion and putting it as part of our lives as ok and a priority, nothing to be ashamed and feared off. Now having known of the freedom of choice and our choice of Jesus is the In thing what now? We now need the drive to put the faith into action and thus need the drive to do so in the right way according to what Jesus as though us. We also need to be strong on our fundamental basic foundation of our faith of Christianity being strong, ‘patriotic’, loyal and proud of it. Having strong basics will ensure our faith will stand strong.
Prologue
We are Christians. We are Catholics. We have faith in Jesus Christ. How do we put it into action? What does Jesus wants us to do? What are the teachings of Christ and of his mission of us in this world? Catholics nowadays do not know how to be Catholics. The mindset and mentality that catechism has thought us drifts away after confirmation and faith becomes something personal so much so it becomes a selfish tool. God is only to oneself and in the end we began to follow the God we made but not the God who made us. God is only there to answer our prayers and to do so we must continue to worship Him??? Is God a Master and are we his slaves? How do we bring back the sheep back to right camp? How do we become correct Catholics, but first we need to know what does it mean to become a catholic. Being a catholic and the essence of its fundamental believe is the triad of God Self and Community. Now the focus of community is eroding as people become more selfish and individualistic succumbing to the earthly wimps of materialism and so on. No though many claim to have Jesus in them but are they really following what Jesus wants us to do following His will? Jesus came down to serve and not to be served. He died for us, he lived for us. He came for all of us as he lived at his time with the community. So we too need to follow his reason for his coming, to serve. Many Catholics questions sometimes why is the church busy fighting for justice and peace, playing with politics, ‘busy bodying’ into every issue and they also question if all this part of the bible and the teachings of Jesus. Furthermore they say that the church is old fashion and outdated and is becoming redundant. Is it so? The church does not bow down to the pressures of society following its wimps and fancies but upholds Christ ways. Catholics say yes to uphold morality, justice and peace, equality, basically maintaining a civilization and we need to prove it to them and to ourselves too.
Objectives
To instill the concept of God Self and Community as being a Catholic
